
Our Approach
I integrate psychodynamic principles, clinical psychology, emotional intelligence (EQ), and cultural intelligence (CQ) into my coaching methodology, helping clients overcome challenges like imposter syndrome, fear of influencing and leading others, bullying at work, stage fear (presenting in public), branding and selling themselves appropriately etc. I work closely with senior psychotherapists, coaches, and mentors to provide a holistic coaching experience.
Using the psychodynamic approach and incorporating aspects of clinical psychology places me on the mentor and executive coach side of the continuum, rather than on the psychotherapist side.
Here is why:
Mentoring: I am helping the client to navigate specific career challenges, offering guidance based on your professional expertise. I am also applying frameworks to help them unlock leadership potential, deal with emotional barriers, and work through issues like imposter syndrome—this all points to a mentor role. Mentors typically offer advice and guidance based on their experience and knowledge.
Coaching: As a coach, I am focusing on the here and now, and future-focused strategies, helping the client develop leadership presence, resilience, and emotional intelligence to handle professional challenges. My use of psychodynamic principles would be in service of improving their emotional resilience and navigating career transitions, which is coaching in its purest form.
Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy focuses primarily on resolving psychological issues, often rooted in past trauma, that significantly hinder a person’s mental health. It typically goes deeper into emotional and psychological challenges than coaching or mentoring. I am not offering therapy, and my focus is more on career development and leadership transformation.
